Tiskita Jungle Lodge

Located along the far edge Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast, the Tiskita Jungle Lodge is one of the first eco lodges of Costa Rica. This lodge is surrounded by jungle with wonderful plantings that are home to abundance of wild animals and birds. Nestled between the town of Pavones and the country of Panama, this is one of the most remote place of the country. People who want to enjoy a comfortable vacation as well as adventure activities, you can choose Tiskita. Set at the end of the road on the secluded southwest coast of Costa Rica, thislodge is owned by Peter Aspinall, his wife Lisbeth, and their children.

Tiskita Jungle Lodge provides nine private cabins including 17 rooms. All the cabins are featured with bathroom including hot water facility. Room facilities also include ceiling fan, screened-in room, orthopedic mattress(es), shaded deck, lounging chairs and hammocks. Each of the cabin overlooks amazing ocean view. If you want to stay at this hotel with your kids, you will find the cabins that are designed in a way that the parents can stay at a separate room with their kids at the next door. This hotel offers single room for the couples. The hotel interior was done with the woods collected over years mostly from trees that fell down in Tiskita and while entering the hotel you will experience a feeling of connection with nature. Around the hotel property, the cabins are spread out and ensure the guest’s privacy. All the cabins are surrounded by trees that allow the guests enjoy stay close to the nature and spot a variety of wild animals and colorful birds and monkeys at the time of taking rest on hammock. Within few minutes walking distance from the property, you will reach rainforest and beach. There is a swimming pool nestled directly by the lodge.

Activities:

Yoga:

This eco lodge has partnered with Hari-Om Yoga School in Italy. Yoga teacher training and other Yoga sessions are offered by the lodge. There is a yoga deck surrounded by trees that will allow you to enjoy practicing Yoga workouts as well as enjoy watching amazing ocean view through the gaps of the trees. Yoga classes are directed by the certified yoga instructors Ben, Sally and Jun-Lee.

Horseback Riding:

Horseback riding is a great option to enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the surrounding area. For enjoying horseback riding, you will have the Tiskita’s own horses. You will be guided by Paulo who usually spots monkeys, macaws, sloths and also other wildlife along the way.

Nature Walks:

Nature lovers can go for nature walk and can enjoy exploring the beauty of the rainforest as well as a variety of wild species. You can take help from the knowledgeable guides who have experience at spotting wildlife. There you will also get opportunity to spot many colorful birds throughout the day.
