Turtle Beach Lodge

Turtle Beach Lodge, an all-inclusive 175 acre luxury resort, is situated in the flourishing Province of Limon in the premises of Tortuguero National Park. From Puerto Limon it takes about three and a half hour boat ride to reach the resort. Set a little outside the town, this lodge has its own private trails, nice accommodation facilities, gourmet restaurant, a private jungle canal and gourmet restaurant. This secluded resort is 5 miles north of the town of Tortuguero and a half mile of beach adjoining still more isolated beaches.

Rooms:

Turtle Beach Lodge offers accommodations for approximately 40 guests. While staying at this hotel, you will be assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience. Here you will get beautifully landscaped cabinas that are featured with all the facilities and amenities. All the rooms are featured with comfortable beds, ceiling fans, private baths with hot showers, cool tiled floors and two wide screened windows that allow the gentle ocean breezes and melodic sounds the jungle enter the rooms. You will find the rooms with one double bed, two twins or one double and one twin. If you want to stay at this resort with your family or a group of friends, you will find the larger rooms perfect.

Food:

The hotel restaurant serves delicious meals combining the local and International cuisine along with fresh fruits, vegetables and juices. You will have mouth-watering buffet three times daily. When you will return after enjoying your jungle exploration, you can make yourself refreshed by taking your favorite mixed drink, a local cervesa or a glass of wine from the roof bar rancho. You can also enjoy a lively game of pool, join a game of cards or play a quiet game of checkers or chess. At the time of enjoying dinner in the spacious open-air restaurant, you can also share your experience with your fellow travelers from all around the world. You can also enjoy you food in romantic solitude with only the sound of the ocean’s roar.

Pool:

Turtle Beach Lodge features a uniquely designed pool with a shady thatched hammock hut overlooking a large turtle-shaped pool. These pools are nestled close to the restaurant and bar.

Grounds:

You can enjoy walking around the grounds that is practically explode with a breathtaking array of colorful flowers and plants, herbs and a special medicinal garden with plants native to Costa Rica. In this ground you will find fresh fruits including lemons, papaya, mango, bananas, avocado, and of course coconuts.

Tours and Activities:

The surrounding area of the Turtle Beach Lodge is an action packed destination for enjoying a series of nature based activities and high adventure tours. As this lodge is close the Tortuguero National Park and close to the beach along with the rainforest and canals, you can enjoy a variety of fun and adventure activities as well as beach activities. This resort offers different types of tours in different places of the region. You can go for garden tours, jungle hiking, boat tours through the Turtle Lodge’s canal back waters. If you visit this place from June to early October, you can go for the most interesting tour-Turtle Watching Tour. You can also go for a cultural expedition of the Tortuguero town (to assimilate the area’s rather fascinating and unusual Afro-Caribbean inspired culture). Nature lovers will like a guided walk through the dramatic Tortuguero Mountain. You can also participate in a guided bird watching hike with an expert naturalist.
